DirCaster V0.9a adds a test so that the ?ft=[filetype] would display ONLY files that are listed in the “sftypes” list. Check out this great new version!

Is there a way to get dircaster to stream the audio instead of having to download the whole thing be it starts playing?
Yes. Just create a file with the same name as your .MP3 file, but with the extension .M3U, then in that file (a simple, flat text file) put this string in it:
http://podcast.drbill.cc/DrBillCC040707-83.mp3
That is, the actual link to your MP3 file. Then, create a web page that has a link to the .M3U file. See the links on my podcast audio page:
